CONLEE AND MOORE ARE OPTIMIST CLUB WEST
ST. LOUIS CID STUDENTS OF THE YEAR

ST. LOUIS, Missouri, April 2007 – Central Institute for the Deaf (CID) primary school students Calea Conlee, 10, of Bunker Hill, Illinois, and Armani Moore, 10, of St. Louis were honored by the West St. Louis Chapter of the Optimist Club as 2007 CID Optimist Club Students of the Year. The Optimist Club Student of the Year program recognizes students who represent the ideals of the organization. 
 
At a special breakfast held in their honor, Calea and Armani each gave a brief talk and received a trophy for having a positive attitude and overcoming barriers to achievement. Calea graduated from CID in May and will go to school in her hometown in the fall.
 
The Optimist Club West has recognized deserving CID school students every year since 1988. 

 
  Calea Conlee of Bunker Hill, Illinois and Armani Moore of St. Louis, are 2007 Optimist Club West St. Louis Students of the Year.
