Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences (PACS)

As a CID at Washington University School of Medicine program, affiliated with CID - Central Institute for the Deaf, the Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences (PACS) offers advanced graduate training in clinical audiology, deaf education and speech and hearing sciences.

PACS offers the following degree programs:

                    • Doctor of Audiology (AuD)

                    • Master of Science in Deaf Education (MSDE)

                    • Speech and Hearing Sciences Research (PhD)

A limited number of full tuition scholarships are currently available to all students who enroll in the master’s program in deaf education (MSDE). Partial tuition scholarships are available to qualified students who enroll in the AuD program.

Graduate students benefit from the on-campus location of a hearing clinic and deafness research laboratories as well as Central Institute for the Deaf’s world-renowned auditory-oral school where deaf children learn to listen, talk and succeed in the mainstream.

The graduate program faculty is made up of highly qualified practicing professionals from the Washington University School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology and Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences as well as from Central Institute for the Deaf (CID).
