CID’s extended day care program provides needed flexibility for parents and caregivers who work. The program is led and closely supervised by a member of our teaching staff with the help of Washington University graduate students and other vetted volunteers. Families are charged a monthly fee.
Parents enrolled in the program may drop their children off at CID up to an hour before school starts. The morning is typically a time for these students to relax, read or complete classwork.
The afternoon is typically a time for fun. The children may participate in supervised sports, games and other activities in the gym. They can also be found outside on the playground or in various spaces throughout the building, perhaps completing a treasure hunt or obstacle course. Parents must pick their children up no later than 5:30 pm.
