Intervention is crucial during the weeks after a baby is diagnosed with a hearing loss. Our experienced and caring parent educators may travel to a child’s home or community setting to help parents and caregivers learn about hearing loss, cochlear implants, hearing aids and more. Through demonstration and coaching, they help families begin to help their children learn to listen and talk in the course of their daily activities and routines.
CID parent educators schedule visits to meet the needs of busy families. Sessions typically occur once a week.
