Audiology Technician - Part-Time (18-20 hours per week)
Are you detail-oriented, technically curious and excited by work that combines digital design, hands-on production and patient care? The CID Martha E. Jones Pediatric Audiology Center is seeking a part-time Audiology Technician to support our clinical audiology team, with a primary focus on producing high-quality custom earmolds in our 3D Print Lab. You will receive in-house training while working with specialized software and equipment in a collaborative, child-friendly clinical environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design earmolds using 3D modeling software, audiologist specifications and digitally scanned patient impressions.
- Prepare, calibrate and run 3D print jobs; monitor production for accuracy and quality.
- Complete post-print preparation, filling, curing, finishing and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot design or printing issues in collaboration with audiologists.
- Maintain printers, lab equipment, supplies, inventory, records and an organized, compliant workspace.
- Track earmold orders and timelines, coordinate completed products and support efficient clinic operations.
- Assist with room preparation, patient flow, test support and other non-clinical tasks as needed.
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Computer proficiency and enthusiasm for learning specialized 3D modeling and clinical software.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet production timelines and work independently and collaboratively.
- Clear, professional communication and respect for confidentiality.
- Comfort working with children and families in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Experience with 3D printing, digital design, laboratory or technical work or healthcare is a plus—not a requirement.

Work Environment
This position combines a professional clinical setting with a laboratory environment and includes extended computer and equipment use. The role requires sufficient coordination and dexterity for 3D Print Lab tasks and may occasionally involve lifting or moving materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly range for this position is $18-$25 and is dependent on education and experience. CID offers paid holidays, vacation and sick time. Data Analyst
CID – Central Institute for the Deaf is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative and solutions-focused data analyst to support the day-to-day maintenance, accuracy and continuous improvement of the organization’s data systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, learning new technology, solving problems and helping teams use information effectively to support mission-driven work.
About the Role
The data analyst will help maintain and optimize CID’s core data solution systems, with primary responsibility for Knack and HearForm (a FileMaker Pro system). The position supports system functionality, data quality, troubleshooting, reporting, dashboard maintenance and cross-departmental data needs. Working under the supervision of the director of program evaluation and in close collaboration with the data systems analyst and engineer, the data analyst will play an important role in strengthening CID’s data infrastructure and supporting data-informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update data within CID’s data systems, primarily Knack and HearForm.
- Perform routine system maintenance, data clean-up, validation and quality assurance checks.
- Monitor system functionality and troubleshoot routine system and data issues.
- Prepare datasets for reporting, dashboards and program evaluation activities.
- Maintain and update PowerBI dashboards and support data visualization efforts using PowerBI and Snowflake.
- Respond to routine data requests from program evaluators and departments.
- Create and maintain user documentation, workflow guides and records of system changes.
- Provide timely technical support and assist with training staff on data entry processes and system use.
- Use AI tools appropriately to support troubleshooting, coding, documentation and problem-solving while reviewing work for accuracy, security and relevance.
First Year Priorities
While the full scope of the role spans multiple systems and tools, initial priorities emphasize building a strong operational and organizational foundation. During the first year, the data analyst will focus on:
- Developing proficiency in CID’s core systems, particularly Knack and HearForm.
- Learning system workflows, data structures and how data connects across departments.
- Taking ownership of routine system maintenance, updates and quality assurance processes.
- Building confidence in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day system issues.
- Developing familiarity with reporting needs and common data requests across the organization.
- Beginning skill development in PowerBI and Snowflake through guided application.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience or coursework in data management, analysis, statistics or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of databases.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across departments, build trust and support colleagues with professionalism and patience.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range is $50,000 – $65,000 per year.

4th-Year Audiology Extern
The CID – Central Institute for the Deaf Martha E. Jones Pediatric Audiology Center provides a full range of pediatric re/habilitative audiologic services. These include behavioral hearing evaluations, device evaluations (digital hearing aids, cochlear implants and FM systems) and programming, parent counseling and educational outreach. CID audiologists work closely with educators in the CID family center and school addressing the speech, language and hearing needs of children from birth to age 18.
Each year, we seek a fourth-year audiology extern to participate in all aspects of the audiology clinic. These include making and fitting earmolds, selecting and verifying hearing aids, programming and verifying cochlear implants for children, fitting FM systems and planning appropriate auditory training goals. Through observation and guided supervision, the extern helps counsel families about hearing loss, device options and the cochlear implantation process. Stipend available.
