The primary CID school has three main goals: (1) continuing the development of listening, speech and language skills, (2) teaching content that aligns with general education programs and (3) teaching self-advocacy and social skills to help prepare students for transition into their home schools. We use a series of functional assessments for data collection and progress monitoring for each of the expected areas of delay for a child with hearing loss learning to listen and talk:
