“Without the generosity of many and the dedication of the CID staff, William would not be able to transition to a mainstream school. The people of CID have brought him out of a world of silence into a world full of wonder and exploration.”

— Ellen Singh

Matching Gifts

Consider doubling the impact of your gift to CID by asking your employer if they have a matching charitable gifts program.

For more information, contact Ann Holmes.

Stock, Mutual Funds, Securities

Donations of stocks, mutual funds, and other securities are increasingly popular ways for individuals to support their favorite causes. These gifts offer exclusive financial benefits to the donor contributing the gift as well as the nonprofit receiving it. Please consider making these types of gifts to CID to support children learning to listen and talk.

Contact Ann Holmes for broker information.

Donor Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is like an investment account established for the sole purpose of supporting the charitable organization/s you care about. They are the fastest growing charitable-giving vehicles in the U.S. because they are simple and tax-advantageous ways to give to your favorite charities. Consider making a DAF gift to CID to support the children, families and professionals we serve.

Named Endowed Funds

CID has a robust slate of named endowed funds that support a variety of programmatic and campus needs. Please consider making a gift to an already established fund, or create a new named endowed fund with a minimum gift of $50,000.

Contact Ann Holmes to learn about the options.

Corporations & Foundations

We’re grateful for the support of local and national businesses, corporations and foundations, which provide a significant portion of CID funding from year to year.

Here are some ways a  corporation or foundation can support listening and spoken language for children who are deaf and hard of hearing:

  • Match an employee’s donation to CID.
  • Make a gift in honor of your employee’s volunteer or board service at CID.
  • Consider a grant proposal from CID to fund a program, project, capital purchase or general operations.
  • Consider naming a CID program or creating an endowed position.
  • Visit for a tour or request a speaker to introduce your staff to CID.
  • Sponsor a CID fundraising event.

Contact Melany Nitzsche to explore the possibilities.

Facebook Fundraising

Have a birthday or special occasion coming up? We’re honored when one of our Facebook friends asks for donations to CID in lieu of gifts.
