Named Endowed Funds

Since its founding in 1914, CID has received many generous gifts earmarked to help families afford a listening and spoken language education for their children. Typically, these funds have been named to honor or remember special friends and family members. Often, they are people who have demonstrated a deep commitment to CID and to providing a quality education for children who are deaf and hard of hearing.

Proceeds from endowed funds can be used for a single purpose or variety of purposes as designated by the donor who established the fund.

It costs about $51,000 a year to provide a CID education for a child 3-12 years old and $12,000 a year for a child under 3. Typically, we collect about 20% of these costs from tuition and service fees. CID turns away no qualified (d/hh) school candidate because of a family’s financial circumstance. All CID families benefit from the continued generosity of our many friends in the St. Louis community and around the world.

You may create an endowed fund with a minimum gift of $50,000. For more information, please contact Ann Holmes at 314.977.0159 or aholmes@cid.edu.
