CID families meet periodically to learn about a variety of topics relevant to parenting a child with a hearing difference. Some topics are intentionally repeated annually to give you access to the newest information and/or because the information is relevant to the stage of life you’re navigating. Sessions are offered in person and virtually so you can choose what works best for your family.
In-person sessions begin with a free dinner at 5pm followed by the topic of the evening at 5:30. Families can also RSVP to access free aftercare (3-5p) for their ECC or primary CID student. Fun activities offered during aftercare and the evening’s childcare are supervised by CID staff and facilitated by graduate students.
The virtual option begins at 5:30. A link to join is provided when you RSVP. Our virtual option gives you the flexibility to participate remotely and the opportunity to invite others in your life who might enjoy the information.
Sessions end promptly at 7pm, allowing ample time to finish your evening.
