Extended School Year

Mondays-Thursdays from mid June to mid July

Once again this year, our five-week extended year summer school program is open to CID students and other children ages 3-12 who are deaf and hard of hearing. The program is taught by our experienced CID teachers. It features morning speech, language and academic instruction for all students and engaging afternoon field trips to great places in St. Louis for the primary students. The day is filled with lots of listening, language and learning opportunities.

Limited enrollment is available for students who qualify. Please direct questions to Andrea Osman 314.977.0135.

Summer Enrichment Program

CID’s summer enrichment program is a way for students to reconnect with old friends, make new friends and enhance their communication, listening and peer relationship skills. This year, it’s open to CID graduates and other general education students who are deaf or hard of hearing between the ages of 6 and 14 (see below for new July session for 11- to 14-year-olds). The children participate in fun activities and create a challenging group project.

In 2018, we will have three week-long sessions. Planning is in progress and details will be available soon. Meanwhile, here are the dates:

• Session 1 (ages 6–12): June 18–June 22

• Session 2 (ages 6–12): June 25–29

• Session 3 (ages 11–14): July 9–13

Session hours are 9am–4pm, Monday–Friday. Siblings and friends in the same age groups are also welcome!

FYI: 2017 costs  —  Costs for 2018 will be announced.
